Short description: The following work will focus on the analysis of networks and their properties using European Patent Office Database. Networks of patents and IPC classes need to be analysed using well known statistical techniques from the literature and some newly developed indicators from our Chair. The work also builds on the literature on economics of innovation and growth theory.
Experience in one of the fields is not a must but is helpful:
- data analysis using programming languages like java, python, others
- experience in writing SQL queries
- knowledge in social network analysis, network science or graph theory, network’s software, network’s visualizations (Gephi)
