Profile

Narek Mirzoyan is currently researching the impact of bilateral environmental agreements on gas emissions, focusing on European Union countries. His primary research interests are in the fields of political economics and labour economics.

Narek Mirzoyan has been part of the Chair of Economic Policy at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology since October 2021. Prior to this appointment, Narek pursued a second Master's degree in politics, economics, and philosophy at the University of Hamburg. He also completed studies in labour economics at the Armenian State University of Economics. Narek improved his research skills while working as a research assistant at both Hamburg and Helmut-Schmidt Universities. In addition to research, he is responsible for some tutorials at the chair and supervises Bachelor and Master theses.

Research Interests

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of (environmental) policies implemented by different institutions.
  • Analyzing the role of (health) technology and innovation in promoting growth.
  • Assessing the role of artificial intelligence in sustainable development.
