The Chair of Economic Policy visits Armenian universities

From September 30 to October 4, 2025, Prof. Dr. Ingrid Ott and Narek Mirzoyan (research associate at the chair) traveled to Yerevan, Armenia, on behalf of KIT to explore partnerships with the American University of Armenia (AUA) and the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA).

On the first day of the visit, they met with the dean of the AUA and the team from the Manoogian Simone College of Business & Economics. The meeting focused on ideas for joint research projects between the two universities.

On the following days, they visited the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA), where they met with the Vice Rector for Internationalization and the Vice Rector for Research. Topics of academic exchange included research collaborations, visiting researcher stays, and student exchanges between the NPUA and the ECON Institute of the Department of Economics and Management. The discussions were complemented by an engaging campus tour. Alongside the professional exchange, they experienced Armenian culture and hospitality.

Special thanks go to Ms. Elena Pfeifer from INTL for her support in preparation for the trip, as well as to Ms. Ani Mamikonyan from the NPUA and Ms. Karine Khachatryan from the NPUA for the interesting discussions and concrete ideas.
